River Ancholme ecological research

Section: Ancholme

2006 apr 16

I am doing research on the long-term ecological changes in the Ancholme.

I was the first River Pollution Inspector and Biologist in Brigg (Lincs. River Board) in 1961. I am looking for the year in which the last of the oil/other barges came up the River.

Also I am looking for a record of current boat movements on the river - from about 1970 onwards. I have some data from the Lincoln Archives but I need more info.

Can anyone help please?
