Spring clean up of River Ancholme

This year (2010) the River Ancholme will have a Spring Clean - reports the Market Rasen Mail - so that more visitors are attracted to Brigg and to increase interest in boating on the river.

The weed will be cut in March by the Environment Agency. During the week Sat. May 22nd - 28th volunteers will be carrying out a Spring Clean of the River. Then over the summer the banks will be cut three times.

Funding for the extra cuts will come from Brigg Town Council. North Lincolnshire Council will be responsible for the clearing up of the cut material.
