Renewables and anti-social behaviour

Section: Andrew Percy MP

2011 feb 14

It is reported that Brigg's MP will be leading a debate in the Commons this Wednesday. He will be calling for the Coalition to "harness the power of the renewable energy revolution". He will also be calling on the government to extend the Humber estuary area's current renewable wind-farm technologies into other renewable areas such as wave and tidal power. Pulse Tidal is already working with Hull University on a small scale tidal facility.

Crime and punishment are also on Mr Percy's mind. He is reported as being in favour of the Coalition's new anti-social behaviour legislation. The new legislation will require the Police to respond to anti-social incidents if there are more than five separate reports - the so-called "Community trigger".
