Thank you for all the help and publicity we received in our preparations for the 12th June.  Response to the open gardens and other events was quite good and we look to build on this in future.  The evening's superb concert in St. John's church Brigg by the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir was well attended and the profit over and above expenses was £700.  A reduced sized choir was performing due to the unavailability of some of the tenor section, the remaining sections were pruned accordingly to maintain a balance.  The resulting choir performance was of the the best possible standard and left the audience spellbound.  Singing without music their studied concentration was rewarded by an impeccable performance.  The audience were certainly not disappointed.

We may repeat this event in 2012 and hope we do not clash with any major event as I have already checked the dates of the Olympics.
