Skydiver dies at Hibaldstow Airfield

2009 aug 25 The BBC reports that another skydiver has died at Hibaldstow Airfield on Saturday 22nd August. The man was aged 44 and came from Essex. His name isn't reported. The article also mentions the case of Mr Stephen Hilder who died in 2003 at the same airfield. In the case of Mr Hilder, the police investigation revealed that his parachute straps had been "sabotaged". Their conclusion, however, was that he had "probably cut the straps himself". Although the police stated that they didn't think that the recent death was suspicious they were keen to gain further statements from any witnesses of the event. Links:
