Millennium park

The Millennium Park in Brigg has been around - rather unsurprisingly - since the turn of the third millennium.

This picture was taken on a cold and frosty Boxing Day from on top of the "tumulus" at the north end of the park and shows the road to Cadney running alongside a frozen river Ancholme.

Have always thought that the tumulus in the Millennium park would be best topped off with the bandstand that is currently standing in the Market place. The bandstand would look particularly fine in park raised a little by the height of the mound with a small quartet playing in the summer sun ...
