It is a little known fact that Brigg does indeed have a Railway Station! The Brigg train station lies on the track between Gainsborough and Barnetby and operates only on Saturdays. In Victorian times, the arrival of the train station in Brigg gave a huge boost to the town. The section of the town to the North and East of the train station (Albert Street / Queen Street area) was built during this time. There were numerous hotels and pubs once in the area to cater for the visitors to Brigg. These have all now been converted into houses or public buildings. Occasional walking tours are run which use the Brigg Train station as a start / end point.
