Today there was a private viewing of the BriggLive Arts in the Angel Suite. There was also a concert by a jazz combo which played some rather splendid music.

The private viewing was very well attended, with a cross section of art lovers from around the region. The exhibition will take place for the rest of this week. A wide range of art styles is being exhibited - from landscapes, portraits, life studies through to photographs and montages. Entrance is £2 which includes refreshments and a programme.

Councillor Mike Birkett is seen here (top right picture) admiring a wooden sculpture. This year there is only the one sculpture as there were problems with the space taken up by sculptures in previous years.

Pictured on the right (middle picture) are some of the organisers of the event: Sue Hannath (left), Sally Dewberry (centre), and Georgina Patchett (right) enjoying a brief rest.
