Brigg Fair reborn

It was touch and go for a while, but the Brigg BUGSS committee managed to organise a fantastic Fair in a few short weeks. Heartfelt thanks go to all of the organisers and everyone who took part.

Fair opening Wrawby Street

The Queen of the Fair being presented by the Lady Mayor of Brigg (Pic. courtesy C Brindley BUGSS). There were many side shows and a funfair in Brigg town centre.

Line dancers Fair near town bridge

There was a line dancing demonstration outside the White Horse and a packed Market Place with a bouncy castle on Bridge Street and the BBC Radio Humberside bus.

Rachel Day Rachel Day

Rachel Day was a fabulous compere and entertained the crowds at the fair throughout the day excellently (Pics. courtesy J Martin).

Processional car and accordion player Fair scene Wrawby Street

This stunning car was used as the processional vehicle for the Queen of the fair. There were a number of other classic cars around the town too.

Craft fair in the Angel Plate painting

There was also a craft fair in the Angel Courtyard. Pictured on the right is Diane Cunningham who teaches at the Adult Education Centre, Redcombe Lane, Brigg.

Face painter After the fair

The Fair included many activities including a face painter. Pictured on the right are the local constabulary taking a well earned rest after a long, safe, peaceful and enjoyable day.
