Brigg Fair programme 2005 August 5

BUGSS - 27 July 2005

This updated programme includes the appearance of Celeb Chefs Kenny Goldsmith, Aemon Masterton and Miles Edmond. Coldwater Foods are supplying all the produce for the day, and the event is being sponsored by the 'Sea Fish Industry Authority'. The plan is to get the younger members of the community directly involved with the chefs and then doing tasters, to show them just how good fish can be.

  • 8.30am - Stalls set up
  • 9.00am - Childrens workshop making large bug
  • 10.00am - Official opening - market place ( Rachel Day our MC for the event )
  • 10.15am - Accordianist in courtyard - Brigg Song
  • 10.45am - BBC Interview
  • 11.00am - Flower arranging demo outside Molly's florist
  • 11.15am - Line dancing outside White horse
  • 12.00pm - Cookery demo - Bandstand ( 2 Celeb Chefs Kenny Goldsmith, Aemon Masterton and Miles Edmond ) 'Seafood' with the kids involved.
  • 1.00pm - Presentation of Bug plus crowning of Queen and Princess
  • 1.15pm - Procession - ATC Band, Vintage cars, children with bug masks
  • 2.00pm - Pet show entries - Millenium Green
  • 3.00pm - Judging of Pets and presentation of prizes
  • 3.15pm - Piper followed by cooking demo and tasting
  • 4.15pm - WI cake comp (to be confirmed)
  • 5-7pm - Nicki - DJ
  • 7.00pm - Fashion show by Dancers in Ballroom
  • 8-9pm - Pub Quiz Crawl round Brigg.

While the above is taking place, there are other static events including Dowes's Funfair.

All times are subject to alteration on the day, this will depend on reasonable weather.
