Brigg horse fair![]() Trotting at Brigg Horse Fair Horses have been traded at Brigg for many hundreds of years and with the granting of a Market Charter in 1204 an annual event around the 5th of August has been taking place with festivities, markets and the trading of many types of livestock including horses. The Romany community comes each year to Brigg to trade horses. N.B. Information on these pages is now archived.
