Another successful fairFriday, 5 August 2005 We are lucky to live in a town which has such a rich heritage. A living heritage which keeps the tradition of trading livestock here in Brigg alive for another generation.
The traveller community once again gathered on Station Road in Brigg to celebrate the fair and to trade their steeds. The weather was a perfect background to an excellent event.
The caravan above was made by a gentlemen from Market Rasen who admires the craftsmanship and tradition of the Romany caravans, and is trying to keep this alive.
... and so the 2005 Brigg Horse Fair came to a successful and safe conclusion. More next year? |
