Brigg Horse FairHorse Fair Saved!Monday, 15 December 2003 A saviour for the Horse Fair was announced tonight at the Town Council meeting. A piece of land owned by Mick Smith at the end of Mill Lane alongside the railway line shall be used to host the event. When asked for the reasons why North Lincolnshire Council had refused permission for the use of the Ancholme Industrial Estate to host the event, Councillor Dick Long stated that it was 'Not a North Lincs event'. Brigg people are wondering: How long will it take before the fair which began over 780 years before the Unitary Authority was formed shall become accepted? |
