Business magazine - Brigg Farmers Market![]() Brigg Farmer's Market on a wet, spring day The Brigg Farmers Market has been running since 2000 and is proving to be an attraction for many visitors to Brigg, North Lincolnshire who come to the market looking for speciality foods bought from the small holders. The Farmer's Market movement, which began in the USA, is becoming a success here in Brigg and the rest of the UK as consumers are left disenchanted with the factory-food production model. Increasing awareness of the importance of diet is also playing a part. The Brigg Farmer's Market takes place on the fourth Saturday of the month in the main part of Brigg Marketplace from 9am to around 3pm (depending on the weather). Mostly meat and cheese products are available, but there is also a variety of other farm-made produce. Useful links: To book a stall contact the Market Manager via the Brigg TIC on: 01652 657053 or by email with: brigg.tic@northlincs.gov.uk. Info last updated: 2007jul13 |
