A Winterton based company - HUB Computer Services - has moved its business to Brigg and has opened a shop in School Court (off Wrawby Street) over the Christmas period.
Pictured on the right are Susan Harrison, Lisa Witherstone and Kath Kirk, who spent Saturday giving out balloons and flyers around Brigg to promote HUB's new shop.
HUB Computer Services has been in existence since 2003 when Roger Kirk and Paul Phillips decided to set up a new mobile computer business based in North Lincolnshire. Very shortly afterwards they had started their new venture they moved into a unit at Winterton and they started supplying new and used computer equipment and offering services to both home users and small businesses covering the whole of North Lincolnshire.
When they learned late in 2004 that Bramble Computers was going to cease trading in Brigg, Roger and Paul decided to move HUB Computers from Winterton to School Court in Brigg.
"Since we've moved to Brigg the early signs have been promising. We would like to thank all the members of public and local businesses for making us feel very welcome" - Paul.
Roger and Paul have been colleagues for 10 years and have worked as a field service engineer and design / customer support engineer for a supplier of computer controlled machinery. The machinery is used in the electronics industry to build circuit boards for computers, mobile phones, consumer electronics and cars.
Through the years Roger and Paul have worked with many well known electronics companies such as Intel, Compaq, IBM, Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer, NEC, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, Philips, Brother, Citizen, Nortel, Ericssons, Motorola, Nokia, Siemens, Pace amongst others. During their time working in the electronics industry they have gained valuable experience and knowledge of computer systems and peripherals.
"With our engineering and customer support background coupled with our insight in to the electronics industry we believe that we are uniquely placed to give every customer the best possible technical and personal service" - Roger
HUB aims to supply home users and small businesses with value-for-money computer equipment and services of the highest standard - while also offering "No Nonsense", friendly and jargon-free advice.
