Mobile phones alive?

Has it ever occurred to you how similar mobiles are to living things?

I was reading when I hear it bleeping plaintively. When I looked I saw the message "battery low" on its screen. "Don't worry, my precious, I'll charge you up" - and with that I get up and search for the charger, the plaintive bleeps making me feel guilty and hurrying me along. And there is a new gizmo from Hong Kong with which you can pay for soft drinks with your mobile. The inventor's logic being: you may leave your home without your wallet but you'd never leave your mobile behind
