Charlie Parker on the Sony ... rain on the window panes. A day in Brigg without sunshine. A day of unrelenting rain.

The shorts and the tee-shirts put away, and replaced with jumpers and waterproof shoes. 'Waterproof' is a relative term here, however, as nothing short of a small inflatable boat is enough to get into town with dry feet.

Looking on the bright side: the air is fresh and clean - with this amount of rain to wash it clean, it is no surprise. Never mind: tomorrow will be the first of July ...
