H & R Hildyard, Porter Merchants

I have just dug up a pottery type bottle in my garden, marked with H & R Hildyard, Porter Merchants, Brigg. Can you tell me anything about them?

Ed: It could well be that someone who visited Brigg market took it home from the pub back to Rasen many moons ago. I haven't heard of Hildyard's - does anyone out there know anything about the company or their porter?
