Help needed ...
Richard Smith - 7 January 2006
Hello All,
My name is Richard Smith and I’m currently a third year English and History student at the University of Lincoln. For my Dissertation I have chosen to investigate Brigg’s Victorian heritage, particularly the years 1841 – 1861.
I have digested all that Frank Henthorn has had to offer, and I also have copy of the Holland’s book. However I’m looking for copies of the 1851 and 1861 census returns that I may borrow for the next couple of months.
As a Brigg lad I feel that everything possible should be done to understand how and why Brigg has developed over the past hundred or so years.
It is also my intention to have my work published so that any person who wishes to take an interest in Brigg’s heritage can do so.
Therefore if anyone you know has any primary or secondary source material relating to the relevant dates please feel free to contact me ASAP!
Thanks for taking the time to read my email and I hope to hear from you soon.
Richard Smith
