BASH November 2005

James Martin (BASH Press Officer) - 4 November 2005

James and Neil
James Martin and Neil Wilkyn

On Tuesday 1st November 2005, Neil Wilkyn came to talk about the history of surnames. It was a very interesting talk and quite a lot of people attended.

We learnt about where surnames had originated from and how they could be used to track and trace people down to their roots. He told us, and educated us on how surnames could be used to find out the occupation of somebody generations ago.

Lots of people had shown interest in the talk, and found it fascinating. Once again, this was another successful meeting for BASH.
