Mediaeval Michaelmas

Bringing the Medieval Brigg celebrations to a close, the Ousekjarr Vikings descended on the Market Place and set up a camp.

On the left, Benedict Coffin is seen writing a manuscript in medieval english. He has kindly offered to craft a replica of the Brigg Market Charter.

Inside the Angel Hotel, were a group of interactive demonstrations of medieaval music, toys and games as well as a play in which the public took part.

The whole series of middle ages events were a great success and brought that distant period of history when Brigg was set up 800 years ago to life.
