New news ...

A new newspaper - the Brigg & Caistor Community Newsletter - has been launched this week by the Market Rasen Mail. The newsletter is distributed free once per two months to homes in Brigg and Caistor.

Jason Hippisley - the editor - wrote in the newsletter, that it is 'a platform for community groups to have more of a say, for local trades people to make you aware of their services and products and to spread the word of all the good things happening in your town'.

The newsletter contains news, adverts, events lists and useful information and is a splendid read. It is a welcome addition to the rapidly increasing list of publications covering Brigg.

BUGSS

The Brigg Upgraded Summer Society committee (BUGSS) has been formed to take over the planning and running of what has been known in the past as the Brigg Fair (5th August).

BUGGS has no links with any past committees that have taken this on in the past - although it does have the authority given to it by Brigg Town Council to set up and run this annual event.

Potential stall holders or entertainers can contact the chairman Mr Charles Brindley on 07917 633895 or via email.

The next meeting of BUGGS is on Tuesday 12 July 2005.

Once again, June was a packed month for music in Brigg and Broughton. Strictly Elvis (aka Andy Shannon) has a strong following - his fans even have special t-shirts made up!
