Once again, the amazing Haxey Hood was celebrated on January 6.

Banking scams

Once again the scammers are busy - and customers of Halifax and Royal Bank of Scotland are being targeted.

This time the emails - which mostly come from Chinese websites - state that they are in response to other scam emails. They then try to get you to log into something which looks like your online bank, but is in fact the scammer's website.

Report these emails to your bank, so the scams are shut down ASAP.

Brigg's heritage

A local history degree student is researching Brigg's Victorian heritage - and is looking for information about the period from 1841 to 1861.

When the research is completed, it shall be published, so that everyone who is interested in Brigg's history can benefit.
