Turners

Bonsoir. I have just been reading G Turners story and wondered if his family lived next to the Parish Hall? I do so remember a Mrs Turner with two sons. If it's the one then many a time she called me to do some shopping for her.

She was a small person and a Lady - a sweet character - a very nice person indeed. One of her sons worked in the Glanford hospital of Brigg. Do let me know if it is this family please ...

Bray & Dook

I am trying to trace my family tree and my grandparents were married in Brigg in 1935 - they were Charles William Bray and Dora Dook - does anyone remember them or still have contact with either of their families?

As far as I know my grandfather (Charles) was a schoolmaster in 1935. Their son, Colin Bray, was (is) my father. Sadly he and my mother split up when I was young and I haven't had contact since. If anyone knows where he is or if he had any siblings I would love to know.

Hope you can help.
Regards,
Eddie H.

Strange freight

"Thirty years ago I was on night haul to Wales. Suddenly I looked round and saw I had a female passenger all dressed in black.

"She suggested I pull in. I did so and looked at her but she was no longer there - but what I did not know then was there had been a smashup of vehicles.

"Was she warning me not to proceed? I will never know to this day. Did she really exist or was I dreaming ???????"
