Snow show![]() Snow on the Marketplace In what is fast becoming a tradition, winter happened one evening (3 March) with heavy falls of snow. Seen here are the bandstand and tourist information centre. Incidentally - has anyone else noticed that no-one ever walks through the bandstand or stands underneath it? Is it haunted - or even cursed ?? BorrillsSome information has come to light about the Borrill family. |
Anonymous pooThanks to the anonymous person who sent their concerns about the amount of dog poo on the Millennium Green and Recreation Ground. Anon, your concern is understandable, but anonymous emails won't be published. ... thinking about it though - and to use the expression 'to catch a thief set a thief' - why not use the innate abilities of dogs to solve this problem? How about training 'sniffer' dogs to recognise the scent of the offending dog and track them back to their homes? It would be a sight cheaper than DNA testing - an idea being seriously considered by the authorities - and most likely more effective. |
Thailand walkDennis Peacock Brigg Life gets better & better ... fancy you have Expat news from Cairns ... "My father was Robert Cosser who worked at Peacock and Binnington" ... P & B was founded by my Grandfather, or was it Great GF?! My Father was Dennis Peacock, Alan Peacock's brother - and my grand mother lived at Copper Beech Bridge Street at the corner with Mill Lane. She died aged 84 in March 1959 ... I have many happy memories of Brigg from 1953 to 1959 ... Anyway, the reason I am writing is that in 1998 I Walked For Thailand and I am now writing my story of this epic walk on my Blog and have just put up today The Walking For Thailand Contest 2006 .... Perhaps your readers will be interested and want to take part in the contest... |
