St. George's

How are you celebrating St. George's day (Sun. 23rd)?

Be proud of your Englishness! Celebrate parliamentary democracy, free-market economics, the rule of law, the industrial revolution, fairplay and many, many games including football - all English contributions to the World.

You never know, with enough support England may even win the World Cup!!

Beekeeping

The North Lincolnshire Beekeeping Association is wishing to promote beekeeping within the county and to increase the membership of our association. With this in mind we will be holding the following events at the association apiary at Normanby shortly.

Although the events are based at Nornamby Hall and not Brigg we are a county association and would welcome interest from Brigg residents, in short we are trying to reach as many people county wide as possible.

Remembering the past ...

Brigg war monument
The Brigg 'Monument'

Most people in Brigg know the name 'The monument' and 'The monument roundabout' well enough - but how many people have actually taken a proper look at it?

It is a remarkable structure built in more confident times and sits on a distinctly oval roundabout; the shape of which you can only appreciate by being on the roundabout itself.

... Looking forward to the future

Easter bunnies
Happy Easter!

Bonjour! Happy Easter to all readers of Brigg Life! Like to share a couple of Easter bunnies for all those back home! These are part of an exposition we did this Fev' in the village hall! The "Groom" is somewhere in the barn in a cardboard box along with all the other dolls I did! Anyone interested in seeing the "Groom"? Mother-in-law? She's in the barn somewhere in a box! God bless, LC
