Brigg Resource Centre

Resource centre

The Brigg Resource Centre provides a day service for adults with a learning disability. They were originally known as the Brigg Adult Training Centre and have been based on Horstead Avenue for nearly 40 years. Around 35 to 40 people a day come to the centre from within Brigg and from the surrounding villages.

The aim of the Resource Centre is to integrate people into leisure and educational activities within the community and to encourage confidence, social skills and independence. Some people have work placements within Brigg.
Coffee mornings are held throughout the year and other charitable events are supported - such as Guide Dogs for the Blind. Future events shall be advertised here on BriggLife and in the About Brigg newsletter.
Brigg folks have been very helpful and supportive in the past, and the people at the centre are looking for new opportunities to take part in social events and activities. If you are planning an event or activity, could you please contact Sally at the centre on 01652 655 223 or 653 384.
