I am tracing my family tree and have found out my father came from Brigg. I was wondering if you could please point me in the direction. Can you please tell me if there is a newspaper or libary I can get in contact with? Can you also please tell me if possible if Wrawby street still exists as I will be visiting soon. Can you also tell me where I can find your register office of Births, Marriages and Deaths.

Ed: Yes, Wrawby Street still exists: it is the main shopping street. The main archive of births, deaths and marriages is held in Lincoln:
Lincolnshire Archives, St Rumbold Street, Lincoln LN2 5AB. Telephone: 01522 525158.
The Lincolnshire archives website has some useful background info and there is the General Register Office.
The current register office for Brigg is at:
92 Oswald Road, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 7PA. 01724 842425.
Brigg library also has microfilm copies of the register (01652 657 006).
