Unbonfire Night

Wednesday, 13 October 2004

What a shame about Brigg Unbonfire night. I can appreciate the financial problems with the clean up of the bonfire site but sadly after asking my children if they wanted to see a bonfire on bonfire night, the answer was a resounding YES.

So for our family we will be going to a full bonfire night inclusive of bonfire. So its very sorry Brigg but bonfire night without a bonfire is just not the same :-(

Ray, Wrawby

P.S. No offence to any organisers, I do understand your problems.

Ed: Indeed, Ray, it is a pity - another traditional event bites the dust. This time to the cost of the cleanup levied by North Lincolnshire Council (who are fast becoming known as 'Captain Killjoy') ;-( ... Brigg needs an events field under its own ownership and control to host such popular events.
