The Angel Hotel does not have a trumpet!

A trumpet looks like the image below:

And that on the Angel Suite looks like this:

It looks just like a toilet plunger - painted gold - lots of people have said that to me....

SO, before it got painted gold - do you think it may of looked like this:

How come it isn't a proper trumpet?

Ed. No wonder there is a lack of plumbers if their equipment is being used to decorate the Angel ...

... or it could be similar to the legend of King Arthur in which the King is sleeping in Avalon, ready to wake up to defend the realm. Perhaps the Angel is a legendary plumber ready to save Brigg if the River Ancholme gets blocked ... ;-)
