Trolleys in the Ancholme

5 June 2005

Hi Ed

To do with the dumping of the trolleys in our river Ancholme. As you know me and my neighbour Mark Dunderdale have cleared the river of its trolleys in December 2003 and do it now regulary.

We have spoken to Tesco and they are trying to deal with this matter. It's solely just not Tescos at fault but the customers who just abandon them.

Thanks Mick.

Ed: You're doing a fantastic thing there, Mick and Mark.

The problem of trolleys - and other litter - in the Ancholme is an ongoing one. The customers of Tesco aren't a problem: it is the scroats who sit on the side of the river drinking beer, throwing their rubbish in the river and generally making the place a tip.

The Tesco trolley hotline is: 0800 50 55 55
