Wrawby junction - road signs breeding??

Friday, 5 May 2005

Is it me? am I having a 'senior moment'?

The road works currently in progress at the junction of Barton road and Brigg road in Wrawby seem to be achieving only one aim and that is to slow the progress of drivers leaving Brigg. After completion of the works all cars heading out of Brigg will have to make a sharp left turn which will slow the progress of drivers leaving Brigg.

I'm all in favour of road improvements but surely better use could have been made of the tax payers money. I also assume that we will also have another forest of signs all over the junction. The way road signs are breeding all over Brigg there will soon be more signs than residents!

Best wishes, Ray and Zena.

Ed. I've noticed the Brigg 'signs problem' myself. I don't know of any other town with so many repeated, redundant and just downright weird signs. If it were possible to 'psychoanalyse' a town I am sure that it would make a great research paper for a psychology boffin ... ;-) On a more serious note, poor signage in the carpark is causing problems for visitors to Brigg.
