Wrawby, North Lincolnshire

Wrawby is a small and pleasant village 2 miles to the east of Brigg. Sitting on an arm of the Lincolnshire Wolds, it has splendid views of the Vale of Ancholme. There is an active community in Wrawby which publishes a monthly newsletter and has an excellent website http://www.wrawby.org.uk.

The tarmac area in front of St. Mary's Church used to be a pond and was filled in just after the war. The windmill was built in the 1700s and was in operation until 1939. It is the only post mill in Lincolnshire and is open at weekends and bank holidays to the public.
